Biography
Hello and thank you for stopping by my site. I have had several requests to post a little bit about myself and my background so here we go.
I was born and have lived in Kokomo, Indiana for the last 61 years. I have been married to Karen Sosbe for 38 and a half years. We have two children: Chris, wife Amy (Smith) and Jennifer, husband Chris Goad. We also gave three grandchildren, Alex Sosbe abd Trevor and Lucy Goad. We are so happy that all of them live in Kokomo.
I graduated from Kokomo High School in 1968. I served four years in the Air Force, three of which were in germany. I earned an Associate's degree in Fire Science and a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from Indiana University. I am a retired Kokomo Fire Fighter, having served the people of Kokomo for 31 years.
I spent 13 years working at the Indiana General Assembly. I am a former president of the Kokomo Professional Firefighters, and a former vice-president of the Professional Firefighters Union of Indiana. I was appointed by governors O'Bannon, Kernan, and Daniels to the 1977 Police Officers and Firefighter Pension Fund Advisory Committee. I am currently the vice-president of the Indiana State AFL-CIO.
I am a member of the International Association of Professional Firefighters, Professional Firefighters Union of Indiana, Kokomo Firefighters Local 396, Indiana State AFL-CIO, the Democratic Party, and I attend Southside Christian Church.
